A WORD ABOUT HORSEPOWER RATINGS... |
You will see that we list horsepower ratings for each different series/application of Manley connecting rods. However, it is very important to understand that these ratings are somewhat subjective. The critical factors that significantly influence the fatigue life of connecting rods (and the horsepower rating) are RPM, stroke, piston weight and power adders. In certain cases, our horsepower ratings may be conservative. Call our tech line if you are unsure based on your specific application. |

There is a vast difference in quality between a Manley "H" Beam and the "other" inexpensive H-Beams on the market. Weight matched to +/- 1.5 grams. Perfectly round big and small ends. Bend and twist is tightly controlled. Cap fasteners are 3/8" ARP 2000. |

Manley Pro Series connecting rods are forged from aircraft quality 4340 vacuum degassed material. Each rod is fully machined in the Manley Lakewood, NJ factory to the highest standards. Our signature "Turbo Tuff" design combines the appropriate weight and rugged strength for ultimate horsepower applications. Each rod is shot peened after machining and magnafluxed. Bores are round and without taper. Bend and twist is tightly controlled. Cap fasteners are 3/8" APR 2000 cap screws. These rods are also available with ARP 625+ fasteners. To order, affix an "R6" to the part number. |
