POWER STEERING PUMPS

Saginaw Power Steering Pumps - Gm has produced the Saginaw power steering pump for the last 50+ years. - There are many versions of Saginaw pump assemblies that have been used on several applications including Imports. - Pump assemblies look different by outward appearance due to hose connections and engine mounting. - Internal Rotary-Vane type pump has remained unchanged since it's introduction. - Units before 1975 had 5/8" ID slide-on pulley assembly that was held stationary by a keyway and shaft nut. - 1961-78 units had a 3/8" hose barb for return line. - All pumps used from 1963-79 used a 5/8-18 inverted flare fitting for the high pressure outlet. - Metric 1980-Up units used a 16mmx1.5 O-ring thread on the pressure hose. - Pulley not included *Dipstick included *Female threads. - All pumps used from 1980-96 looked identical to earlier units. The difference is the mounting holes were metric.

GM Saginaw Type II Power Steering Pumps - High flow power steering pump. - Compact size. - Same as GM Type II TC pumps. - For use with remote reservoir. - Overall length 3.79". Overall width 4.15". Overall height 5.14". - 5/8" hose inlet works with AN 10 push on with clamp. - Outlet accepts a 16MM O-Ring fitting or a banjo fitting for an "AN-6" pressure line. - Shaft has .663" O.D. and uses a press-on pulley. - Pump to be used with a plastic attached reservoir. - Flow control valve is recommended for applications using Mustang II steering. - Can Produce Between 1,250 -1,450 Psi - Type Ii Pumps Are Less Sensitive To Radial Belt Loading, Making Them Ideal For Hard-Core Abuse.
